Richmond American University London is seeking to appoint an experienced and innovative academic to the role of Associate Professor (Faculty Education) with an additional responsibility as Programme Director for Computer Science and Software Engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of a distinctive, globally focused institution offering both UK and US degrees.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a central role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning in Computer Science and Software Engineering, working closely with colleagues to ensure students have an outstanding academic experience. You will teach undergraduate courses within the discipline, providing intellectually rigorous and engaging instruction to a diverse and international student body.
The role includes the additional responsibility of Programme Director, normally assigned for a four-year period. As Programme Director, you will oversee the academic development and student experience within the undergraduate computing programmes. You will provide leadership in programme design and review, contribute to curriculum innovation, support student progression, and ensure the continued relevance and academic excellence of the programmes.
We are particularly interested in candidates with proven teaching experience in higher education, preferably in an international and multicultural environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in one or more of the following areas: software engineering, programming, data science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, or systems design. A strong commitment to student engagement, academic support, and collaborative leadership is essential.
