NCP is looking for a strong and experienced Programme Manager who has the ability to get to grips with a fast moving programme of work, be able to decipher what should and should not be worked on, and in what order and be able to put a structure in place to help us work as effectively and in the most value add way as possible.
This role is initially a six-month fixed term contract but dependent on the impact of the individual, there is scope to extend / make permanent.
What You'll Be Doing:
You will identify all projects that are currently in flight and create a method to capture, report, visualise and summarise progress in a regular, easy to digest way
You will show how projects are tracking against their plan, highlighting where milestones are not being met or are missing altogether
You will highlight who is working on each project, identifying resource pinch points / constraints
You will show the benefits of each project or highlight where there is no benefits case at all
You will help the business identify whether projects are truly aligned to strategic objectives and whether any projects have dependencies on each other
You will help the Executive Committee prioritise all projects, recommending which projects can be accelerated and who could be stopped where relevant.
At the monthly Executive Committee forum, you will facilitate a review of all projects in a structured way, updating on progress, holding sponsors / owners to account and unblocking blockers where relevant.
Requirements:
This role will have oversight of all projects across the entire business, including but not limited to, Technology, Operations, Commercial, Legal and Marketing, as such, the Progamme Manager needs to:
+ Be able to build strong and trusting relationships with those driving projects forward
+ Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, to work with a broad range of colleagues and skill sets and be able to present clearly and concisely to Executive Committee level
+ Have the confidence to recommend changes in priorities, which could result in stopping some projects
+ You will be fluent in Programme Management techniques and methodologies and be able to help the business understand them and work to them
+ You are energetic, relentless and do not take no for an answer, in a positive constructive manor
+ You work with your colleagues in a way that gets the best of out them and you communicate simply but effectively
+ You have a passion for identifying and unlocking value
+ Whilst not a mandatory requirement, it would beneficial if the candidate had a recognised Programme Management accreditation, such as
P3O
(Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices) certifications and / or the
