We now seek a dynamic and experienced

Programme Manager & Head Coach

to lead our coaching team, shape our programme, and elevate our impact.

The Role



This is a leadership role ideal for a candidate who thrives on both people management and coaching excellence. You'll be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of our gymnastics and programmes while also serving as the lead coach for our competitive and recreational sessions.

Key ResponsibilitiesProgramme Management



Develop and manage the termly and annual programme schedule (classes, squads, camps, and events). Lead and supervise the coaching team, including recruitment, training, and mentoring. Liaise with parents, carers, and external partners to ensure smooth operations and strong community relationships. Track gymnast progress and manage assessments, squad placements, and development pathways. Ensure safeguarding, inclusion, and health & safety standards are upheld at all times. Oversee administration tasks such as registers, staff rotas, equipment checks, and venue logistics.

Coaching Responsibilities



Deliver high-quality coaching to gymnast of all levels, from beginners to competitive squad members. Create structured, progressive lesson plans across gymnastics and tumbling. Prepare athletes for internal and external competitions and displays. Provide technical feedback, performance analysis, and tailored development plans. Support athlete wellbeing with a focus on confidence, resilience, and self-expression.

Essential Requirements



Level 2 or higher qualification in Gymnastics, Cheerleading, or Tumbling (British Gymnastics or equivalent). Proven experience leading or managing programmes in a sports. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strong organisational ability with attention to detail. Up-to-date DBS, Safeguarding and First Aid certifications. A commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and culturally aware coaching practices.

Desirable



Level 3 or higher coaching qualifications. Experience managing a team or mentoring other coaches. Experience working with children and families from diverse backgrounds. Event planning or community outreach experience..
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 23,000.00-32,000.00 per year
