1. Role Summary



We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Programme Manager

to lead our

term time & holiday provision

programmes across Worcestershire.

This is a hands-on role combining

Programme Management and Development

, alongside supporting recruitment, partnerships and overall organisational development. The successful candidate will be the

operational lead

for key programmes.

Role Purpose



To manage, deliver and develop the organisation's

Alternative Provision & overall School's offer, Mainstream holiday programmes & overall organisation development

, ensuring high-quality delivery, strong staff management, safe practice, and positive outcomes for children and young people.

The Programme Manager will also support organisational growth through

programme development planning, partnership building specifically with Schools & delivery partners, recruitment support, rota management and contribution to reporting and communications where appropriate

.

Key Responsibilities



1. Programme Management (School programmes & Mainstream holiday camps)



Lead the day-to-day operational management of School and holiday programmes Ensure sessions are safe, inclusive, well-planned and engaging Act as the on-site manager for programmes, resolving issues in real time Ensure all policies, risk assessments and safeguarding procedures are followed by programme staff Maintain high standards of behaviour management, staff application and staff professionalism

2. Programme Development & Growth



Create and maintain

development plans

for: Alternative Provision / School programmes Mainstream Camps Identify opportunities to expand programmes into new schools, settings or communities Support the development of pilot programmes and new delivery models Work with the Funding & Development Manager to align programmes with funding opportunities Work with the SEND Co-ordinator, Administrator & Marketing officer to support organisation operations.

3. Staff Leadership & Workforce Management



Create and manage staff rotas for managed programmes Line manages delivery staff working on these programmes, including sessional staff Support recruitment of sessional Lead staff inductions and programme briefings/training Provide ongoing feedback, mentoring and performance support

4. Delivery



Deliver high-quality sessions across Programmes, leading by example. Provide/arrange emergency or short notice cover where needed Model best practice in inclusive and engaging delivery Support staff development through observation and coaching

5. Partnerships & Relationships



Support the development of new partnerships with: Schools Alternative provision referrers / Local Authority Community organisations Act as a key point of contact on site for schools, parents and partners Attend meetings and contribute to partnership discussions as required

6. Impact, Monitoring & Reporting (Support Role)



Support the Administrator with: Attendance data Registers Case studies and qualitative feedback Contribute insights and summaries for funder and partner reports Ensure required monitoring data is collected consistently

7. Communications (Support Role - not lead)



Provide programme updates, photos and stories to the marketing team Contribute content for newsletters and social media planning Support consistent messaging from programmes.

8. Logistics & Compliance



Potentially drive the organisation's minibus (training provided if required) Oversee equipment, resources and site set-up Ensure all delivery spaces are safe and prepared Support audits and compliance checks

Person Specification



Essential



Experience managing or coordinating youth, sport or AP programmes Experience delivering sessions to children or young people with SEND Experience managing or supervising staff Strong understanding of Safeguarding Children Strong understanding of safeguarding and risk management Ability to work flexibly across sites and hours. There may be weekend and evening availability required. An enhanced DBS or ability to undertake a successful DBS check. 6 GCSE's, including English, Maths & Science at grade C/4 or above Competent IT skills & ability to use various Microsoft programmes including outlook, word, excel and teams specifically. Full UK driving licence

Experience working in Alternative Provision / School specific programmes Experience delivering / developing new programmes Experience working with schools or local authorities Coaching, youth work or sports qualifications First Aid & Safeguarding qualifications Strong understanding of the educational system & experience of working within schools.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: 28,500.00-30,150.00 per year
