The opportunity

The Overview

Are you passionate about driving innovation in healthcare? Are you passionate about patient safety? Do you thrive in complex, collaborative environments? We're looking for Programme Managers to join our dynamic team - either via secondment, fixed term for 12 months or in a permanent employed capacity.

We're currently looking for passionate and experienced Programme Managers to join our team. We have roles available offering the chance to work across a variety of impactful missions that make a real difference.

In addition, we are seeking a programme manager with a special interest in patient safety to work as part of our patient safety collaborative. This position is available as either a secondment or a fixed-term contract, ideal for someone looking to take on a focused, meaningful challenge.

If you're ready to take the next step in your career and contribute to work that truly matters, we'd love to hear from you!

About the Role

As a Programme Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-impact programmes across our diverse portfolio.

Portfolios range from supporting the rollout of the nationally significant initiatives and cutting-edge programmes that find, test, and implement innovations in health and care across our missions, including cancer, mental health, and long term conditions.

For the secondment / fixed term role your focus will be on the National Patient Safety Improvement Programmes delivered by the Patient Safety Collaborative (PSC)specifically Martha's Rule and Avoiding Brain Injury in Childbirth (ABC).

You'll work closely with clinical leads, system partners, and national networks to support the delivery of our mission-based and Patient Safety Collaborative (PSC) programmes. Your work will directly contribute to improving outcomes and spreading innovative practice across the health and care system.

Working in collaboration with regional partners and Health Innovation Networks across England, our work transforms lives through innovation.

All our work is grounded in the context of our region - supporting our partners to identify and spread innovation that tackles the shared challenges we face improving health across a complex mix of rural, coastal and urban communities.

The challenges facing the NHS will not be addressed by doing more of the same. They will only be met by widespread adoption of innovation including digital and diagnostic technology, and data to transform clinical pathways and empower patients.

In this, our twelfth year of operation, we have launched ambitious plans to address the key problems facing people across our peninsula.

This coincides with the relicensing of Health Innovation Networks last year for a further five years by NHS England. Never has it been a more important time for innovation in health and care.

We believe that we have a unique offer for someone who is passionate about driving the uptake of health innovation and economic growth, enabling patients to benefit from earlier diagnosis, more effective treatments, and faster recovery.

We have an ambitious board, a chief executive with a clear vision, and a team that is highly committed to putting the South West on the map in rural and coastal health. And we are based in a really great place to live and work.

If you would like to join our impact-led, improvement-focused and collaborative organisation, we would love to hear from you.
