Job Description



The Programme Manager will be responsible for leading and coordinating a complex, multi-workstream technology migration programme.



The role will ensure delivery of agreed outcomes across technical, commercial, and organisational change components, working closely Exec Sponsors, Commercial Leads, Programme Management Office (PMO) and Transformation Leads to maintain strong governance, pace, and alignment to strategic objectives.



This role requires strong leadership across cross-functional teams, proactive management of risks and dependencies, and effective engagement with senior stakeholders, suppliers, and commercial partners.



The Programme Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the programme delivers measurable business value while managing cost, risk, and change effectively.



Programme leadership and delivery

Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale transformation technology migration programme, ensuring alignment with strategic and transformation objectives
Develop and maintain the integrated programme plan, milestones, dependencies and critical path across all workstreams
Ensure delivery to agreed scope, time, cost and quality standards


Governance, PMO and transformation alignment

Work in close partnership with the PMO and Transformation Lead to ensure robust programme governance, reporting, planning and controls are in place and consistently applied
Collaborate with the Exec Sponsor, Commercial Lead, and Transformation Lead to align delivery with business change, operating model, and benefits realisation
Provide clear, accurate and timeline programme updates to senior stakeholders and governance forums


Risk, issue and dependency management

Identify, manage and mitigate programme risks, issues and interdependencies across technical, commercial and organisational domains
Proactively escalate critical risks and decisions, providing clear options and recommendations




Stakeholder engagement and comms

Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders, Exec Sponsors, Commercial Leads, product and tech teams and external partners as required
Lead effective programme communications to ensure clarity of objectives, progress & impacts

Qualifications



Essential:

Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream programmes, preferably within large-scale technology migration or transformation initiatives Experience working closely with a PMO to establish and operate effective programme controls - with strong understanding of programme governance, financial management, and delivery assurance Exceptional risk, issue, and dependency management capability across technical and non-technical domains Familiarity with both agile and waterfall delivery environments, and hybrid programme models Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence within complex stakeholder environments


Nice to have:

Experience partnering with transformation or change leads to deliver integrated business and technology change
