Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mortgage Originator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding clients through the mortgage application process, ensuring that all necessary documentation is collected and processed efficiently. This role requires strong communication skills, a solid understanding of mortgage products, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Assist clients in understanding their mortgage options and guide them through the application process. Collect and verify necessary documentation from clients to ensure compliance with lending regulations. Communicate effectively with clients, real estate agents, and underwriters throughout the mortgage process. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and transactions using relevant software tools. Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve customer service. Develop and implement strategies for lead generation and client retention. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide informed advice to clients.

Skills

Proficient in software development principles, with experience in SQL for data management. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively convey information to clients and colleagues. Familiarity with Waterfall methodology for project management. Experience in release management processes related to software applications. Ability to create and execute test cases for quality assurance purposes. Knowledge of cloud computing technologies that enhance operational efficiency. Demonstrated leadership abilities to guide teams towards achieving common goals. Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles for managing large-scale projects.
