About the role



The office of HRH The Princess Royal consists of a small, flexible, busy team responsible for the management of The Princess Royal's official programme.


As a Programme Manager, you'll ensure every engagement runs seamlessly, reflecting the dignity and purpose of The Princess Royal's Patronages and military affiliations. You'll play a vital part in planning, delivering and providing logistical support for HRH's UK engagements, collaborating closely with the Private Secretary, Deputy Private Secretary, and external partners to create memorable experiences across the United Kingdom.

Key responsibilities:



Own one full week of The Princess Royal's UK programme on a rolling five-week rotation, arranging up to four or five engagements per day. Liaise with Patronages, Lord-Lieutenants, local police forces, the Royal Travel Office and Royal Mews to coordinate logistics and ensure smooth-running events. Produce visit briefs, biographies, speeches, Court Circulars and other papers as required Arrange, administer and conduct reconnaissance visits ahead of official UK engagements. Support the Deputy Private Secretary in processing invitations every six months and communicate outcomes to requesting organisations. Manage general office duties, including correspondence, enquiries and database maintenance, to keep the programme team running efficiently.

You have demonstrated success in managing high-profile programmes and events, ensuring flawless delivery from start to finish. You thrive in fast-paced settings, mastering complex administrative demands with efficiency and ease. You're an expert project manager and organiser, renowned for attention to detail whilst juggling competing deadlines. With exceptional verbal and written communication, you negotiate and advise stakeholders at all levels with credibility and confidence. A proficient user of Microsoft Office applications, you leverage technology to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
