About the role As a Programme Manager at NFU Mutual, you'll be at the forefront of delivering complex, technology-enabled programmes that shape the future of our organisation. This strategic role is pivotal in translating business vision into tangible outcomes, ensuring programmes are delivered to scope, budget, and timeline while maximising value and impact. You'll lead cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder relationships, and drive excellence across the full project lifecycle. In this role, you'll take ownership of one or more large-scale programmes--each with budgets up to 10 million--guiding them from definition through to delivery and transition into business as usual. You'll:
Define programme scope, deliverables, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Lead planning, tracking, and reporting activities in line with NFU Mutual's Change Framework.
Manage dependencies and risks across the enterprise, safeguarding delivery and business continuity.
Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, providing challenge and support to ensure successful outcomes.
Establish governance and reporting structures, enabling informed decision-making through data-led insights.
Oversee programme finances and resources, balancing priorities and optimising delivery paths.
Collaborate with Change Management and PMO to ensure effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
Mentor project managers and contribute to Communities of Practice to elevate delivery standards.
Inspire and develop your team, fostering talent and succession planning within Group Change.

About you You're a seasoned programme leader with a passion for delivering strategic change. You bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, and stakeholder savvy to every programme you lead. Your skills and experience includes:
Successfully delivering complex, technology-enabled programmes or large projects.
Leading diverse, multi-functional teams to achieve business outcomes.
Deep knowledge of programme and project management methodologies, with the ability to coach others.
Building and influencing relationships with senior stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
Collaborating with Change Management professionals to deploy programmes effectively.
Managing large budgets in line with accounting policies.
Project planning and lifecycle management.
Risk identification and mitigation.
Budget control and financial oversight.
Stakeholder analysis and engagement.
Programme reporting tools.
Leadership and team development.
Clear and persuasive communication.
Problem-solving and decision-making under pressure.
APM Project Professional (PPQ) or equivalent - Desirable
