We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Planner to join our team. In this role, you will ensure effective programming and adherence to schedules, minimising inefficiencies and unproductive work.
Duties
Develop, maintain, and review work programmes.
Produce progress reports and forecasts for internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
Use project management tools to plan and monitor timeframes.
Prepare contingency plans to manage changes in schedules.
Apply strong knowledge of Health & Safety and Traffic Management Act (TMA) Street Works requirements.
Maintain a thorough understanding of highway maintenance and associated activities.
Monitor programme performance and ensure timely delivery of works.
Manage Street Works permit applications.
Handle fluctuating workloads efficiently and meet deadlines.
Chair monthly programme meetings and provide hands-on support to colleagues.
Communicate professionally with senior management and stakeholders.
Person Specification
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Knowledge of highway maintenance and traffic management processes - would be desirable
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract
Hours: Part Time - 24 - Monday to Friday
