Job Description

Velindre Cancer Centre is proud to be one of the UK's leading non-surgical oncology centres.



As part of our ambition to deliver world-class care for our patients and a ground breaking environment for our staff, we are building a brand new, state-of-the-art Velindre Cancer Centre set to open in Spring 2027.



We're looking for a motivated and organised Project Administrator to support the Communications and Engagement workstream of this exciting project.



This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a meaningful and lasting project helping to shape how we engage with patients, staff, communities and partners during one of the most important developments in the Trust's history.



Working closely with our Communications and Engagement leads, you'll play a vital role in keeping the project on track and making sure our messages are heard.



This post is fixed term/secondment until 30/09/2027. If you are interested in applying for the secondment position, you must obtain permission from your current line manager prior to applying for this post.

Coordinate and support a range of meetings and events - from internal workstream sessions to quarterly community benefits reviews and stakeholder engagement events Support planning and delivery by helping track progress against key milestones and escalating issues when needed Manage communications , including logging and issuing responses to public correspondence and supporting the coordination of Freedom of Information responses Keep us organised , by maintaining accurate project records, databases, and documentation Create tools and templates to help the team deliver clear and consistent communications

You'll need strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.



Experience supporting complex projects is important, and an interest in communications or public engagement will be a real advantage.
