Job Description

This is a rare opportunity to play a leading role in improving the experience of people with a learning disability and autistic people across North East London, while also developing and applying project and system working skills. We are looking for an experienced learning disability and/or autism practitioner who is passionate about high-quality, values driven education and who wants to use and further develop their project and leadership skills alongside their clinical expertise. As a Project Advisor and Lead Trainer, you will work closely with the Project Lead to help establish and deliver the North East London Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training Hub. You will contribute to planning, coordinating and improving a complex training programme, while remaining closely connected to the real life experiences of people with learning disabilities and/or autistic people. This role is ideal for someone who already brings strong learning disability and autism knowledge and is looking for a developmental opportunity to build confidence in project delivery, system working and service improvement.
Main duties of the job
They will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure workstreams within the hub are set up for success and, in collaboration with the Project lead ensure that the team and experts with lived experience are supported, operationally and pastorally, from recruitment, through delivery and in debrief, collaborating with system and local Trust partners to achieve this. The post holder will have experience delivering education in the NHS, proficiency working with people with learning disabilities and autism and a strong knowledge of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme.
