Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Architect to lead the design and delivery of bespoke residential and garden-led projects. This is a key role within the practice, requiring strong technical expertise, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept through construction.

The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple projects, coordinating consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure design excellence, technical compliance, and smooth project delivery.

Key Responsibilities



Lead architectural projects from initial concept through planning, technical design, and construction Develop high-quality design proposals using AutoCAD, SketchUp and other supporting software. Prepare and coordinate detailed construction drawings, specifications, and technical packages in line with UK Building Regulations Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers Manage project programmes, resources, and budgets while maintaining exceptional design and build quality Undertake site inspections, attend site meetings, and resolve technical and construction issues as they arise Coordinate multidisciplinary design teams and use tools such as Navisworks for clash detection and coordination Develop bespoke joinery and architectural details, with a strong understanding of construction methodology Produce high-quality presentation material and visualisations using Adobe Creative Suite and 3D software Ensure projects align with sustainability principles, planning policy, and regulatory requirements Contribute to the continued development of Millards design standards and project processes

Skills & Experience



Proven experience in a Project Architect or senior architectural role, ideally within residential or high-end renovation projects Strong technical knowledge of UK planning policy, Building Regulations, and construction detailing Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite Demonstrable experience managing projects from inception to completion Confident communicator with excellent client-facing and negotiation skills Experience producing detailed joinery and bespoke architectural packages Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality design outcomes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 35,000.00-40,200.00 per year
