About the role



Join us at the forefront of one of the UK's most ambitious and innovative infrastructure projects. As

Project Commercial Director

for the Lower Thames Crossing (LTC), you'll lead the commercial function across the Roads North LTC Enterprise, driving sustainable growth and ensuring commercial excellence. You'll be a key member of our leadership team, guiding commercial strategy, overseeing multiple teams, and making a real difference to the project's success and the communities we serve.

What you'll be doing



Leading and developing the commercial function, ensuring best practice and continuous improvement, including LEAN and digital innovation. Managing all commercial activities, including cost, value, margin, risk, and cashflow, and overseeing major contract and subcontractor accounts. Leading commercial negotiations with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders, and providing expert support for contract and board reviews. Supporting bid preparation and enabling innovation across contracts to secure competitive advantage. Managing commercial resources, including recruitment, deployment, and professional development. Who we're looking for



We're looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking leader who brings a positive mindset and a strong sense of innovation to shape commercially sound behaviours, aligned with our commitments to carbon reduction and community impact



You'll bring:


Proven experience managing commercial performance in complex, major project environments. Strong strategic, financial, and business acumen, with the ability to influence and communicate effectively. Expertise in negotiating complex contracts and identifying opportunities while mitigating risks. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field, supported by professional membership (e.g. RICS, ICES, CIOB) and appropriate industry certification (such as a CSCS card or equivalent).
