Biomethane is a key technology in the transition to net zero. It is an established and proven low carbon technology with thousands of facilities globally, taking manures, agricultural & industrial wastes and by-products and using bacteria to convert this into biomethane and an organic fertiliser. Vida Bioenergy has already invested over $100m into RNG projects in the Netherlands and the UK with our first projects online. With development offices across Europe, Vida Bioenergy has a pipeline of projects that will lead to a further investment in excess of $500m as it continues to build its portfolio of biomethane assets.

This includes overseeing the final stages of construction completion, leading the cold commissioning phase, managing the safe issuance of commissioning permits, and providing hands-on support to the Plant Manager during hot commissioning and start-up activities. The role ensures that all systems and components are installed, tested, and operational in accordance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained within the document control system for all tests and inspections. Co-ordinate the completion of the Project Safe to Start Review (PSSR) checklist and subsequent review meetings prior to startup

Permit Management

Coordinate the development and issuance of commissioning permits, in line with site safety and permit-to-work systems. Ensure compliance with local regulations, company safety policies, and environmental standards during commissioning. Conduct toolbox talks and commissioning safety briefings as necessary.

Start-up & Operational Support

Support the Plant Manager and operations team during startup, including the introduction of feedstock, biological seeding, and ramp-up to full load. Assist in troubleshooting and resolving startup issues with process equipment, instrumentation, and control systems. Ensure knowledge transfer and provide operational training for the plant team.
