Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Project Communications Manager to work on a contractor basis, leading all communications across a significant building works programme at Paragon Works' client partners, Schroders' Head Office.

Hours:

4 days per week and ad-hoc hours for the ongoing project

Salary:

600 - 800 per day

As the Project Communications Manager, you will shape, deliver and oversee internal and external messaging, keeping employees, stakeholders and our reputation front of mind. As the dedicated communications expert, you'll develop integrated, transparent and engaging messages for all affected audiences, protecting our reputation and ensuring everyone stays informed and reassured.

You'll act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, coordinate cross-functional input, and take ownership of day-to-day, strategic and reactive comms across multiple channels. Reporting to Head of Planning, Comms and Marketing, you'll collaborate with senior projecowners, facilities, risk, legal and central comms teams, as well as external partners and advisers. You'll be the primary point of contact for all programme communications, working closely with internal and corporate comms to ensure alignment.

What you'll do



Create, lead and deliver a joined-up communications strategy for the programme, reflecting Schroders' brand, values and regulatory priorities. You will be the sole, go-to person for all programme Comms. Provide timely and effective briefings to senior leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring they are fully informed on key communications initiatives, reputational issues and strategic messaging opportunities. Craft compelling, audience-specific content across multiple channels aligned with the Internal Comms tone of voice and existing comprehensive comms calendar. Provide comms input with additional written requirements of the programme, such as planning applications or necessary statements. Client and employee experience are critical, so you'll develop and oversee an approach to meet their needs at every stage of the programme. Work closely with Marketing and preferred suppliers to manage all required brand assets throughout. Drive open, timely engagement, ensuring voices are heard and audiences are kept fully informed. Manage and de-escalate crises, particularly in relation to reputation, providing confident, solutions-focused messaging and coordination. Advise and influence senior executives and cross-functional teams. Champion best practice and continuous improvement, setting new standards for project communications. Leverage latest technology and AI, keeping our comms modern, innovative, and effective. Document and uphold all processes, maintaining rigorous records.

Required Experience and skills:



Extensive communications experience in complex or regulated environments Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, able to distil and convey complex information High-level organisational and planning skills, with ownership and accountability from start to finish Proven expertise in crisis response and reputation management Analytical and insight-driven; confident using metrics to refine strategy Ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders, technical teams and contractors Passion for innovative, tech and AI-enabled communications solutions
