We're looking for a passionate individual to join us as a Project Coordinator

Department overview



We are a SME family run flooring contractor who are recruiting for a project co-ordinator to work out of our northern office in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

We are looking for a Project Co-ordinator who can assist with the day to day running of flooring projects based across the Yorkshire and North Midlands regions.

You will be required to support the daily operations primarily office based by communicating closely with the department manager regarding upcoming and ongoing projects.

The role will include working with all areas of the business from Clients, Suppliers, Contractors and internal staff members.

The role will require someone with high levels of organisation, attention to detail and a hard work ethic, willing to get involved in a variety of tasks.

Roles & Responsibilities



Manage the front end set up of projects and continued data capture throughout.

Raise supplier & subcontract purchase orders, place relevant orders and communicate regarding delivery dates

Open and close jobs including set up of individual plot files, job closure documents and processing for invoicing/applications.

Prepare necessary job bags for installation teams and site surveys.

Initial communication with clients regarding required dates and clear communication with department manager

Skills required for role



Knowledge of all Microsoft systems including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Sharepoint etc

Telephone experience with customers, suppliers and subcontractors

Construction industry experience desirable but not required

Knowledge of quantification of materials desirable but not required

General high attention to detail

Ability to work with various departments and prioritise workload

Driving licence

Salary and Benefits



Salary dependant on experience, however you can expect to earn between 12.85 and 14.35 per hour

Thirty-two days (full time equivalent) holiday (including bank and public holidays)

Three days paid sickness
