This is an exciting opportunity to join the Transformation and Change team which consists of a team of Project Managers and Business Analysts who\'s primary responsibility is to deliver the Organisations Strategies. Supporting and managing projects across a range of Portfolios including Systems and Technology; Data Insights, Client Insights, Operational Excellence and People. The team are looking for a skilled Project Coordinator or someone with transferrable skills with a passion for planning and organising who is seeking an opportunity to start a career in Project Management. The role is full time with majority Remote Working, ideally based in the Birmingham area.

What you will do

  • Take ownership for compiling, analysing and maintaining core project documentation, reports, resource management and ensure project governance procedures and processes are adhered to across multiple projects covering all of the portfolios within the strategy for your own projects and for others.
  • Take responsibility for the creation, definition, documentation and safe execution of tasks and smaller projects in accordance with best practice independently. Actively managing and participating in all phases of the project lifecycle and appropriately managing and escalating risks, issues and other blockers to progress with strong and confident written and verbal communication.
  • Assist with coordination and administration activities on larger, more complex projects as directed and monitor performance of projects against key parameters, including milestones and timescales throughout the lifecycle of the project including post-completion analysis of projects and capturing lessons learnt for continuous improvement objectives.
  • Liaise and communicate effectively with relevant DACB teams and senior stakeholders within the wider firm as well as external suppliers / contractors and clients.
  • Other administrative tasks supporting projects and business initiatives as required by Managers in the Transformation and Change Team and the wider business.
Who you are
  • Previous experience in a project management role or with project management methodologies is advantageous, but not essential. The individual requires excellent and demonstratable organisational skills and attention to detail who is a proactive completer-finisher, a team player and capable of self-motivating and working independently.
  • Have people skills with a clear persuasive communication style and a level of personal credibility. Have assimilating/listening skills and thereby an ability to build effective, reciprocal relationships at all stakeholder levels.
  • Have experience of taking responsibility for driving tasks/projects forward on own initiative proactively and be resilient in the face of setbacks. Be able to demonstrate clear judgment and apply a common sense approach whilst balancing between the detail and the bigger picture.
  • The ability to be task / delivery focused is essential as well as capable of delivering pragmatic solutions
  • Possess the ability to proactively manage numerous tasks, competing priorities and the ability to work well under pressure on a daily basis ensuring nothing is overlooked and applying high quality standards to all outputs.
  • Have an understanding of the function of management reporting and information, together with an intermediate level of competence in Microsoft Office systems and the ability to generate and interpret data-based reports or a willingness to learn.
  • Demonstrates alignment with the Firm\'s Cultural Principles (Clear, Creative, Determined and Supportive).
