Are you highly organised, proactive, and great at keeping lots of moving parts on track?
Do you enjoy working as the link between people, plans, and practical delivery and love seeing creative projects come to life from workshop to site?
We're looking for a Project Co-ordinator to join our growing team at Precision Timber, supporting the planning and delivery of our bespoke playground projects. You'll be based in our workshop office, working closely with Design, Workshop, Sales, and Site teams to make sure every job runs smoothly from order through to installation and handover.
About Us:
At Precision Timber, we are a family-run company specialising in designing, manufacturing, and installing natural playgrounds, high-quality sustainable outdoor equipment, landscaping, and surfacing. We work across a range of settings including schools, nurseries, parks, local attractions, and commercial spaces.
We create bespoke outdoor spaces that allow children to explore, be creative, and flourish because every child deserves the chance to play.
The Role:
As Project Co-ordinator, you'll be the central organiser of live projects. You'll manage schedules, documentation, logistics, and communication across departments, ensuring the workshop and site teams have everything they need to deliver on time, safely, and to our high standards.
A key part of this role is providing excellent customer service to our clients, keeping them updated, answering queries professionally, and ensuring they feel supported throughout the project journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and update the live project tracker, from order to install to handover.
Coordinate timelines across design, workshop manufacture, deliveries, and site installs.
Prepare and issue install / site packs (drawings, cutting lists, fixings, RAMS, delivery notes, handover documents).
Liaise daily with workshop and site teams to ensure work is sequenced correctly.
Book and manage deliveries, pallets, collections, and transport logistics.
Raise and track POs with suppliers and monitor lead times.
Support snagging and close-out: tracking actions, client updates, O&M manuals, warranties.
Communicate professionally with clients on dates, access requirements, progress and any changes.
Provide friendly, responsive customer service, ensuring clients are kept informed and confident in our delivery.
Report project progress, risks, and changes to Heads of Department.
Drive continuous improvement by spotting ways to streamline project/admin processes.
Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience in project coordination / planning, ideally in construction, manufacturing, landscaping, or outdoor installation.
Confident managing multiple live projects and deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills, professional, calm, and helpful with clients and stakeholders.
Strong communication skills with teams, suppliers, and customers.
Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
Comfortable working with project trackers, documents, and Microsoft Office (Excel and Monday.com especially).
Ability to think ahead, solve problems quickly, and stay calm under pressure.
A positive, team-focused attitude aligned with Precision Timber values.
