Job Description



Durrant Construction builds, extends and renovates residential properties across Surrey and Hampshire. We are seeking a Project Coordinator to become a key member of our team, bridging the gap between clients, site managers and trades to ensure construction projects are completed in line with client expectations, on time and within budget.

Essential Functions:



Develop and communicate upfront project plans identifying supporting requirements from clients, site managers and trades. Hold kick off meeting with key stakeholders and finalise contracting. Coordinate and liaise with clients, Architects, Building Control, Engineers and Councils to obtain relevant documentation and approvals in advance of works commencement. Create detailed work scopes and terms for 3rd party trades. Obtain, review and negotiate costings and availability and share with site managers. Support clients in selecting finishing products and final fixtures & fittings (eg - windows&doors, kitchens, tiling&flooring, sanitaryware, skirting&doors). Identify provisional costings and determine final scope requirements. Identify scope changes to project and associated works. Scope, calculate cost and client quotations and gain client approval. Co-ordinate material orders, H&S, quality control and registration on product warranties, certification and IBGs. Manage all customer communications including weekly/fortnightly site meetings and progress/update reports. Review progress and upcoming works across all projects to identify and overcome workforce overlaps or negative deviations from schedule. Plan upcoming works accordingly, ensure relevant trades are scheduled and share labour schedules. Complete works valuations for client invoicing. Associated budgeting, project plan updates and communication to stakeholders for all above tasks.

Required Skills & Experience:



Experience working within the construction industry and a core understanding of processes and materials. Complex property maintenance experience may be transferrable. Self motivated 'can do', solution focused attitude. Analytic and commercial minded, proficient in excel. Project Management with ability to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Personable with high emotional intelligence

Pay: 45,000.00-50,000.00 per year
