Your Role as a

Project Delivery Manager




Job Function





This role focuses on converting approved innovation ideas into practical, executable plans and driving cross-functional delivery through to successful launch.



The Project Delivery Manager is responsible for translating approved innovation concepts into robust delivery plans and managing execution through to market launch. The role works closely with the Head of Commercial, who acts as the project "prime mover" and is responsible for ideation, range strategy, and business case development, retaining overall project ownership.



Once initiatives are approved, the Project Delivery Manager ensures projects are delivered efficiently, on time, within budget, and to required quality, safety, and compliance standards.



The role is accountable for timelines, cost control, risk management, and cross-functional delivery, and supports the development of a strong innovation culture at Fold Hill Foods, acting as an advocate for the NPD Stage Gate Process.


Job Responsibilities:




Project Planning & Execution




Develop and manage detailed delivery plans, timelines, resource requirements, and budgets. Own execution of approved projects from handover to launch. Ensure delivery across all relevant areas, including: + Packaging and artwork + Product formulation, pack copy and trials
+ Ingredient and packaging sourcing
+ Manufacturing readiness and scale-up
+ Supply chain and logistics
+ Launch readiness and operational improvements
Identify project risks, dependencies, and constraints, implementing mitigation plans. Manage change control to protect timelines, costs, and scope.

Cross-Functional Coordination




Act as the central link between Innovation and key functions including:

o Marketing



o Commercial



o Digital



o Procurement



o Supply Chain



o Operations



o Quality & Compliance


Facilitate effective communication and alignment across teams. Organise and lead project meetings, reviews, and update sessions. Drive decision-making and escalate issues promptly to protect delivery timelines. Work closely with the project prime mover (typically the Commercial Manager or Brand Manager) and supplier partners to ensure delivery to agreed KPIs and milestones.

Product Launch Management




Oversee the delivery phase of product launches from concept approval through to market rollout. Coordinate operational readiness activities, including: + Packaging development and artwork sign-off (working closely with the Food and Technical teams)
+ Supplier onboarding and material availability (with Procurement and QA)
+ Product trials, scale-up, and validation
+ Regulatory compliance and risk management (with the Regulatory & Compliance Manager)
+ New line form data is available and completed by the relevant Commercial Manager and case labels, barcodes, QAS's and first production runs are managed so all are completed effectively with Production sign off.
+ Production planning and scheduling
+ Synchronisation of go-to-market activity plans
Ensure launch timing aligns with agreed commercial and operational plans.

Project & Performance Tracking




Monitor project milestones, budgets, and KPIs, providing clear and regular updates to stakeholders. Track critical path activities and proactively address delays or risks. Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and post-launch reviews. Control project costs and prevent scope or budget creep. Ensure clear communication of any issues impacting delivery or the critical path.

Governance, Reporting & Stage Gate Management




Manage delivery-phase NPD stage-gate requirements, including 'go/no-go' approval from the SMT. Prepare and present progress updates, risks, and mitigation plans to senior stakeholders. Ensure governance standards are met, including documentation, approvals, and change control.

Continuous Improvement




Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing and supply chain operations. Promote standardisation and best-practice project delivery methods. Lead post-launch reviews to capture learnings and improve future delivery. Support refinement of Fold Hill Foods' NPD delivery processes and ways of working.

Required Attributes:




Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, Food Science, or a related discipline. 3-7 years' experience delivering NPD or change projects within FMCG or consumer goods. Project management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) preferred. Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional delivery projects. Strong understanding of FMCG operations, including manufacturing, packaging, and supply chain. Experience working within structured NPD stage-gate frameworks.

Strong risk management and problem-solving capability. Commercially aware with a delivery-focused mindset. Detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-focused. Comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Proficient in project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Asana, Jira, SAP-based tools).
