IPS UK, part of Group-IPS, is a multidisciplinary industrial project management and engineering company. Acting as Owner's Representative, IPS fully integrates into the Owner's project team. IPS can provide services from initial project definition to equipment commission utilizing our 4 phases of project management. IPS looks to provide full EPCM (Engineer, Procure and Construction Management) services to the following industries: Life Sciences, Chemicals, Food and Beverages, Primary and Metals, Buildings, Data Centers, etc. across the UK.
General
Group-IPS is looking for a Project Design Engineer (PE) to join the team. This individual will need to exhibit the following characteristics:
- Flexibility to work between multiple projects
- Able to work in different industries and construction environments
- Self-starter able to work independently and efficiently
- Professionally interact and work with client engineering and non-engineering teams
- Lead and/or assist in the creation of detailed engineering documents such as Process Flow Diagrams, Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams, Basis of Design, etc.
- Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and client specifications.
- Create and support the development of cost estimates, schedules, and bid packages as needed.
- Perform basic calculations to validate design concepts.
- Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team.
- Provide and/or lead technical input discussions during the procurement and construction phases.
- Collaborate as the potential point of contact for client, contractors, regulators, suppliers, etc. for all items related to the project scope
- Onsite project follow up
- Safety reference through all aspects of the project
- Potential for frequent travel for duration of projects throughout the U.S
