- THE ROLE -
The Institute for Sustainable Practice, Innovation, Research and Enterprise (INSPIRE) provides central support for knowledge exchange, enterprise, business engagement and regional partnerships, enabling the University to maximise impact from its research and teaching. Through INSPIRE, colleagues are supported in developing external collaborations, securing funding, and delivering activities that contribute to economic, social and cultural priorities.
The Project Development Officer (Knowledge Exchange and Innovation) is a strategic, industry-facing role that supports University academics and external partners to develop high-impact knowledge exchange and innovation initiatives. The post-holder will build capacity across the University to engage with industry, secure external funding, and deliver impactful collaborative projects.
This role is central to delivering the University's Research Wales Innovation Fund (RWIF) Strategy, including the development and management of Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs), Smart Partnerships, medium-to-high value projects, and other industry-focused collaborations. The post-holder will also support student placements and internships, strengthening employability and experiential learning opportunities.
