Vacancy Details
In the role of Project Director, you will lead and manage the Project Management Function for the prestigious Hinkley Point C contract. This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for the successful delivery of the complex project, ensuring excellence in safety, quality, budget control, and programme performance.
You will have full management responsibility and oversight of the project team, covering:
Safety, Health & Environment (SHE): Champion a safety-first culture across all project activities.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet Severfield's high standards.
Budget Management: Monitor and control project budgets, reporting deviations.
Programme Management: Oversee off-site scheduling and milestone tracking.
Drawing Office Control: Coordinate design deliverables and approvals.
Procurement: Manage bought-out components and supplier relationships.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Support internal departments to align project goals.
Client Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for client requirements and expectations.
Change Management: Approve scope and programme changes, managing impacts.
Continuous Improvement: Ensure adherence to project processes and suggest enhancements.
Key Skills & experience
The ideal candidate will be a confident and effective leader with a proven ability to manage complex, high-value projects. With significant experience managing projects on licensed nuclear or defence sites, with a deep understanding of regulatory and safety requirements.
As well as,
A successful track record of managing large multidisciplinary teams, typically in excess of 50 personnel.
Demonstrated capability in delivering projects valued at 100 million or more, ensuring alignment with budget, programme, and quality expectations.
They should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the gravitas to influence stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to lead with authority and inspire high performance across teams.
Skilled in stakeholder management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
