Project Director (Mechanical)
Location: Central London
Salary: Up to 150,000 + Benefits Package
We at Smart4EPC are currently assisting our Top Ranked M&E client on their search for an accomplished Project Director (Mechanical Bias) to lead the delivery of prestigious commercial office fit-out and shell & core projects across Central London. This senior leadership position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of complex, high-value projects from pre-construction through to handover, ensuring exceptional quality, commercial success, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the mechanical delivery of major commercial fit-out and shell & core developments in Central London.
• Oversee project planning, design coordination, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Manage project teams, ensuring targets for programme, quality, safety, and cost are consistently achieved.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and main contractors.
• Provide technical direction, mentoring, and strategic leadership to project teams.
• Monitor financial performance, reporting, and forecasting to ensure projects remain on budget.
• Uphold company standards for health & safety, quality assurance, and environmental compliance.

Role Requirements:

• Extensive experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager within the MEP contracting or building services sector.
• Strong mechanical engineering background, ideally degree-qualified or equivalent.
• Proven track record delivering commercial office fit-out and shell & core projects within Central London.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills with a collaborative, client-focused approach.
• Commercially astute with a thorough understanding of cost management and project governance.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
