Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects. This position requires a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical knowledge and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Responsibilities



Work with the client and inhouse engineering teams to design and deliver powder handling, fluid and bespoke systems. Oversee the development of engineering 3D models and drawings for a range of system requirements such as plant layout, general arrangement, and detail drawings. Develop and maintain accurate project schedules in Microsoft Project or similar platform Develop and maintain accurate project Risk schedules Manage and track project costs to budget and achieve budgeted project gross margin. Maintain accurate Variation Order change control methods, monitoring closely changes to scope and supply. Co-ordinate with other members of the design team to work effectively on a shared project. Tender and procure system components and fabrications working with Procurements to achieve best price and availability. Manage client expectations and overall project satisfaction. Attend site and remote meetings with clients, suppliers, and installation providers. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. Attention to detail regards change control and variation essential Arrange and oversee site installation (mechanical and controls/electrical) and commissioning. Report any design issues and significant challenges to the Head of Engineering. Develop RAMs as required, or support third parties in the production of theirs Manage variations, design changes and workload. Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. Report any design issues and significant challenges to the Head of Projects Escalation of concerns to management especially in areas impacting risk. Production of regular project update reports. Contract management - optimise the commercial outcome of projects by ensuring you and the project team are controlling project costs and are charging for variations to contract where appropriate and justified. Attend and contribute to customer design review customer project review meetings. Undertake site visits, surveys, FATs, SATs and audits as required Liaise with customers dealing with their questions and issues. Ensure customer approves equipment scope and design /drawings are obtained prior to manufacture. Maintain detailed records Ensure information is fully and timely exchanged between internal departments/functional teams. Support and maintain the company ISO 9001 Quality Management system, including implementing/processing internal audits, NCRs, OFIs and Customer Complaints. As a key employee of the Company participate in its general wellbeing and overall development.

Requirements



Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, including Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics 3 - 5 years project engineering experience in similar or related industries, utilising similar technologies, and project scope, including Automation, Automotive Oil & Gas Experience of process / systems within the food industry desirable Familiar with manufacturing environments and regulations including the Machinery Directive, ISO9001, ATEX and British Standards for equipment design. Flexibility and willingness to contribute as needed to project and company success. Willingness to travel to customer sites at short notice
