An exciting role has arisen for a Project Engineer (Control Systems) to join a market leading contractor and work with some of the latest signalling equipment on the market.

Role:

The successful candidate will manage and undertake engineering activities within the Alstom Control Centre Systems, supporting the Engineering Manager to deliver all Project Engineering activities on a project.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Arrange monthly meetings with programme planners to review and update schedule for design activities on assigned projects
  • Coordinate with other design and verification engineers for delivery of all systems on assigned projects
  • Oversee stage gate reviews for delivery into test, in coordination with the Lead Designer/Verifier
  • IRSE licence logbook kept up to date
  • Ensure Engineering deliverables are on-time and within budget
  • Ensure integration of design, installation and testing activities meet client specifications
Essential Requirements:
  • MSc or BSc degree level education in engineering discipline
  • Familiarity with Engineering Safety Management
  • Knowledge of EN50128 compliance requirement.
  • Experience of Project Engineering, Design, Installation or Test on signalling projects
  • Must be able to develop System Specification and Requirements
  • Must display good understanding of modern signalling technologies
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of engineering interface with other disciplines, i.e. Signalling, Construction, Cyber-security, Electrification and Telecommunications
  • Signal and systems engineering experience in project delivery.
  • Willing to learn and be driven to progress within the company structure
  • Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety) Certificate
  • Corporate membership or the IRSE with IEng or higher
