We are seeking a Project Engineer, electrically biased to deliver electrical and automation-related projects across the Clayware business, supporting operational performance, energy efficiency, and compliance. This role is reports directly into the Chief Operating Officer.

This role also carries Electrical Duty Holder responsibilities, ensuring that all relevant electrical infrastructure and practices meet legal requirements and contribute to business continuity.

Requirements of the Project Engineer (Electrical) role are:



Minimum:



HNC in Electrical Engineering

Desirable:



HND or Foundation Degree in Electrical Engineering

Responsibilities of the Project Engineer (Electrical) role include:



Act as Electrical Duty Holder for designated projects, ensuring compliance with the Electricity at Work Act. Deliver and support capital and revenue engineering projects with electrical or automation elements. Specify and implement upgrades to LV/HV infrastructure as part of project delivery. Provide technical support for PLC/automation projects, including design, specification, and fault diagnosis. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure projects meet safety, quality, timing, and cost expectations. Maintain compliance with electrical regulations and internal standards across all project activities. Support the assessment and development of energy-saving initiatives, including project feasibility and implementation. Ensure contractor and supplier performance aligns with site safety and cost-efficiency expectations. Monitor and analyse energy consumption trends and feed insights into project proposals. Provide technical documentation and contribute to commissioning and handover processes. Support knowledge sharing and standardisation of best practice in automation and electrical safety. Demonstrate sufficient competence under the Management of Engineering Asset Integrity Policy. Participate in audits, inspections, and compliance reporting as needed. Maintain technical standards including DESEAR, COMPEX, and functional safety awareness. Produce/update any technical drawings using CAD as a result of an engineering project following the Management of Change (MoC) process.
