Experienced in the provision of mechanical/air conditioning engineering services, you will be a professionally qualified engineer. Commercially orientated, you will be charged with developing the workforce and building strategic relationships with key clients.

THE POSITION : PURPOSE



The position will require you to manage mechanically biased projects with some electrical, as required to assist in the development of the business. Your position will be as a projects engineer and offers you the opportunity to develop a strategy to successfully execute prestigious contracts.

You will be supported at all levels and be expected to use your experience to administer requirements in a methodical way in accordance with procedures adopted within our organisation.

KEY DUTIES : ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Responsible to: The directors of the organisation

To oversee the running of all aspects of allocated mechanical/air conditioning projects on a daily basis and as such, be accountable to the directors for their performance. To take responsibility for the establishment of targets and their achievement for all commercial and financial activities to ensure the company and client needs are exceeded at all times

Liaison with: Design and engineering teams

ain Duties



To ensure that existing customers and potential new customers genuinely receive a quality, focussed service and product

Provide weekly progress and project reports

Support installation engineers

Manage and pro-actively support all commercial activities to ensure they reflect the

Ensure that all activities are delivered to the agreed time/cost/service specification

To continually identify quality and business improvements and ensure these are integrated into the future activities

Keep and maintain full documentation to ensure that good business practice is achieved and that the company's contractual and corporate responsibilities are discharged

Site communication/administration

Management of communication/correspondence

Drawings/drawing management recorded correctly

Site meetings to be attended as required

Update construction drawings/schedule as necessary and issue to site with the relevant documentation i.e. drawing register

Conduct regular site supervisory visits and maintain quality, progress, and resources required to maintain contract programmes and objectives

To manage the production of operating and maintenance manuals, "as installed" drawings, installation test results and commissioning documentation

Detect performance problems and correct them

Obtain competitive quotes and appoint major sub-contractors

Sub-contractors account analysis to be kept updated at all times

Sub-contractor control meetings (to be held weekly), chaired by the project engineer

Monitor sub-contractor valuations/variations, in accordance with our payment timetable

Ensure cross-referencing of the organisations variations to sub-contractors variations and correct pricing is being completed

Support surveying and engineering teams with sub-contractor account discussions, difficulties and agreement

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
