On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Project Engneer B&C for a 12 Month hybrid contract based in London.

As a Project Engineer B&C, your main responsibilities will be to:



Lead Buildings & Civils projects and portfolios of works, to provide support to other disciplines and undertake the assurance of discipline engineering aspects within Southern Enhancement team. Act as Project Engineer and Designated Project Engineer for projects and portfolios, managing all engineering aspects on projects in both the development and delivery stages and to provide Engineering Assurance in the delivery of projects by managing the use of appropriate standards in relation to design and construction and deliver project in accordance with programme. Monitor whether suitably qualified and experienced staff are employed to control engineering aspects of all projects within the functional discipline as well as monitor design and specialist consultants and contractors, providing project management advice in respect of all construction activities, including testing and commissioning. Liaise closely with other discipline engineers including SRP, National Specialist Teams, asset managers, sponsors, development and project managers, HQ functions, senior management, stakeholders and suppliers/contractors, within various Network Rail organisations.

Essential:



Relevant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas. Ideally, membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or educated to degree level (Civil Engineering). Demonstrable experience in the review and evaluation of engineering designs to ensure alignment with Network Rail's technical standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements across multidisciplinary rail projects. Knowledge of quality assurance. An understanding of the arrangements required for the independent assessment of work. CDM, risk assessment, engineering management competency.
