Centre Stage Engineering is a leading force in the stage engineering industry, delivering innovative mechanical solutions to performance spaces across the UK and beyond. With an exciting pipeline of projects, we are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our expanding and motivated team.
As part of the Projects department, you will work closely with clients, our in-house Design Engineers, and the Production and Installation teams to deliver stage engineering systems from concept through to completion. You will play a key role in the coordination, management, and successful delivery of multiple live projects--on time, on budget, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities will involve:
Taking ownership of project delivery from handover to completion
Liaising with clients, consultants, and contractors to develop solutions and manage expectations
Coordinating with internal departments (Design, Production, Procurement)
Preparing and managing project documentation, schedules, and budgets
Overseeing installations on-site, including site surveys and contractor coordination
Attending and contributing to client meetings and site inspections
Supporting health and safety planning and compliance throughout project phases
The successful applicant must have:
Experience working in a project engineering or project management role
Working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor, or other similar 3D modelling software
Experience in mechanical engineering
Strong organisational and communication skills
The ability to interpret technical drawings and engineering documentation
A practical and flexible approach to problem-solving
A full UK driving licence
Desirable skills:
Experience using Revit
Familiarity with NEC or SBCC contract formats
CSCS card or site management qualifications

The ability to work autonomously and manage multiple deadlines
A proactive attitude and desire to see projects succeed
A willingness to be hands-on and visit sites as required
Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Indicative range: 35,000-45,000, depending on experience.
