Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing engineering projects from conception through to completion, ensuring that all specifications and requirements are met. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Duties

Lead and manage engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Utilise software tools such as Simulink, MATLAB, and LabVIEW for system design and simulation. Develop and review schematics, CAD drawings, and technical documentation. Implement designs using SolidWorks and ensure compliance with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards. Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to integrate systems effectively. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project alignment with organisational goals. Provide mechanical knowledge to support the development of innovative solutions. Modelling and simulation based certification, verification and validation frameworks across nuclear, defence and aerospace industries.

Skills

Proficient in root cause analysis techniques for troubleshooting engineering challenges. Strong experience with Simulink, MATLAB, LabVIEW, SolidWorks, and CAD software. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and their applications in system design. Familiarity with GD&T principles for accurate engineering drawings. Excellent mechanical knowledge applicable to various engineering projects. Ability to read and interpret schematics effectively. Strong analytical skills combined with a detail-oriented approach to project management. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within teams and with stakeholders.
