About the Role:

CHG Utilities & Infrastructure is a growing business delivering projects across the water, utilities, and wider infrastructure sectors. With secured workloads across AMP frameworks and ongoing business growth, we are seeking an Estimator with experience in MEICA and/or civil engineering to support tendering and pre-construction activities.

This role is responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and well-considered cost estimates for a range of projects, from early-stage budgets through to detailed tenders. You will work closely with project delivery, design, and commercial teams to ensure estimates reflect scope, risk, and programme requirements.

The role suits an experienced estimator or a developing professional looking to progress within a supportive and technically capable business.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare cost estimates for MEICA and/or civil engineering works across utilities and infrastructure projects. Review drawings, specifications, schedules, and scope documents to develop accurate pricing. Produce detailed take-offs, cost breakdowns, and pricing schedules. Liaise with internal teams to clarify scope, methodology, and construction approach. Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations. Support early-stage cost planning, budgets, and feasibility estimates. Identify and allow for project risks, assumptions, and constraints within estimates. Assist with value engineering and alternative solutions where appropriate. Maintain estimating records, cost data, and pricing libraries. Support tender submissions and pre-construction handover to delivery teams.
About You:

Experience in estimating within MEICA, civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure sectors. Background in MEICA works and/or civil engineering packages. Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills. Commercially aware with strong attention to detail. Confident working across multiple tenders simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating tools. Collaborative team player with clear communication skills.
