Project Field Engineer

Site: Ford. Halewood, Liverpool
Job Summary
The field engineer is responsible of the installation and the maintenance of custom machines (material handling & fastening systems) at Preston workshop & mainly at customer plants. Focused on quality and safety.
12-month fixed-term contract with extension option
Responsibilities
Set up machines at Preston for sign off with the customers Organise delivery to the end user Manage the installations in autonomy (prevention plans, lifting means, etc.) Set up machines at customer sites Refine settings Diagnose and fix potential failures
Basic Qualifications
Qualification in mechanical or electro technical engineering
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
Predominant location: Ford Halewood, Liverpool Few trips: Preston, UK Punctual trips: other customers in the UK
Key Competencies
Experience of 3 years at a similar position in an industrial environment Good skills with hand tools, power tools and good practices for mechanical, pneumatic and electric assembly SolidWorks CAD software only for visualisation Forklift driving license / MEWP driving license / Working at height permit
