Summary

We are seeking a skilled Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and executing IT projects that enhance our service offerings to clients across the UK.

Main Purpose of the Job

The Project Implementation Engineer will provide end to end delivery of new and existing client infrastructure. Effectively implementing new systems for businesses infrastructure lifecycles. Building and configuring new IT Infrastructure, including Network configuration/Windows Server/ VMware. Migrating services to new systems/hardware and Onboarding of new clients.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Infrastructure Implementation (Microsoft Server, VMware, Dell SAN) Client infrastructure upgrades (On premise/ Migration to private cloud) Remote Desktop Services configuration Core Networking Installations (Firewalls/Switches/Wifi)

Experience

History of delivering windows server upgrade and migration projects Experience of installing and managing switches, routers, firewalls and other security devices Extensive Knowledge in Hyper-V and VMware Exchange Server Decommission and Migration to Office 365 Worked in a fast paced, managed service company Project delivery Working knowledge of firewalls (Sophos XG, Mikrotik Routerboards desirable) Familiar with Vmware highly available clusters (essential) Created documentation and followed set processes including change management Good understanding of routing protocols (BGP) Experience of O365 full feature set Including Azure AD Good Overall Security Knowledge

Skills:

Ubiquiti WiFi (highly desirable) Window Server 2008 to 2019 (essential) IPSec VPN configuration Dell SAN Storage (desirable) Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy and ADFS Automation - Powershell or other (desirable)

Personal and Team Responsibilities

You must be able to demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and possess good organisational skills and be able to take the lead within the department when delivering client projects. You must communicate effectively and in a user-friendly manner, you should have a positive, can-do attitude and be a team player. You must have excellent document infrastructure and implementation recording skills. You should be educated to Graduate level or have sufficient industry exposure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 35,000.00-45,000.00 per year
