This is an exciting opportunity to lead a specific area of the wider Your Health Bolton Service. ABL are seeking a dynamic and inspirational leader and manager who will be bold and proactive, developing a new team which will share the vison and aspirations of the service.
Your key responsibilities will be:
Lead the planning and implementation of the Smoking Cessation services across Bolton.
Drive, enhance and implement the vision of ABL Smoking Cessation service amongst staff, partners and stakeholders
Lead and coordinate staff to facilitate service delivery
Leading a positive partnership and collaborative approach with stakeholders across your area
Ensure high quality delivery and governance within the service
Contract performance, reporting and budget management.
The Project Lead will provide operational leadership and management with overall responsibility and accountability for delivering project outputs and outcomes of the service across Bolton. The post holder will lead a multi-disciplinary team to ensure that delivery outcomes are achieved.
The post holder will ensure services are delivered and developed to provide high quality, safe and effective packages of support that respond to the needs of the client and have a positive impact on the wider community in accordance with contractual obligations and the philosophy of ABL.
The post holder, along with the Head of Service and key stakeholders, will play a key part in integrating the service into the wider behaviour change programme across Bolton.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The role involves line managing a delivery team while working closely with stakeholders, commissioners, local residents, and the service delivery team to drive continuous service improvement and innovation under the 'ABL Way' service improvement framework. The postholder will manage the Smoking Cessation project budget, supported by the Head of Service, and build and maintain strong relationships with partners and stakeholders within the specified districts in Bolton. Responsibilities include managing project resource allocation, planning and scheduling timelines, aligning delivery timetables to achieve KPIs, and tracking project deliverables and outcomes. The role requires contributing to quarterly reports with the Head of Service, overseeing quality assurance for delivery staff, data, and record keeping with support from the Professional Smoking Cessation Lead, and participating in integrated governance procedures, including clinical governance. The postholder will regularly monitor and report on project progress, identify issues and solutions, manage staff performance, and contribute to CPD opportunities within ABL. Additional duties include analysing client feedback, implementing service development actions, chairing team meetings, attending service development meetings, and presenting performance reports to the Portfolio Delivery Board. The role also involves working closely with specialist leads across physical activity, nutrition and healthy weight, smoking, and alcohol to embed governance and quality assurance processes, collecting and evaluating data trends, drafting reports for the Head of Service, and taking a solution-focused approach to project planning and issue resolution.
