We are on the lookout for an experienced

P

roject Management Officer (PMO) to join our expanding Business Operations Team. Acting as the information hub for projects, programmes, and portfolios, the team underpins delivery success across the whole UK business.


This role will involve supporting project managers with governance, controls, reporting, and analysis, ensuring the smooth and successful delivery of projects. You'll also collaborate with colleagues to design, implement, and refine processes that continually improve our operational efficiency.

What will the role involve?



Providing expert guidance and support to project and delivery teams, ensuring compliance with SBS governance processes and standards Identifying and implementing improvements that strengthen control, efficiency, and quality of project delivery across the business. Analysing complex datasets to spot trends, risks, and opportunities, translating findings into actionable insights. Building and presenting reports, dashboards, and visualisations to support portfolio governance and decision-making. Working closely with project managers to track, forecast, and report on project financial health. Partnering with Finance and Account Management to monitor SOWs, change controls, invoicing, and POs, helping ensure delivery and business units meet financial targets.

Qualifications

What are we looking for?



We're looking for someone who is proactive, analytical, and highly organised, with a strong ability to communicate and influence stakeholders. At least 2 years in a financial PMO role. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Able to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear, confident, and assertive, able to influence and uphold governance standards. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); exposure to integrated PPM tools. Power BI, VBA, and macro experience are a bonus. Background in financial services, software implementation, or PM/PMO-related qualifications.
