Job Description

As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project and liaising with site teams, as well as reviewing progress, budget resources and planning, programming and maintaining contract documentation (Risk Registers, Early Warning and Compensation Event Notice trackers).

The projects are based across West Midlands and North Wales, and our offices are in Oswestry, Shropshire. The Project Manager would be expected to work closely with Site Agents and a presence on site would be expected for meetings and as required, so a willingness to travel to site is essential.

Evans Construction is a family founded business that still operates with customer focus and the values we started with. We offer services to the highways and water industries sectors, working as a sub-contractor, for a variety of Clients across the West Midlands and Wales.

Position is available on a PAYE or self-employed basis.

The Role

Planning, scheduling and coordinating the project strategy and design, reporting progress and budget matters to the client. Preparing programmes, cost estimates, budgets and contracts. Working with QS, maintain clear project documentation and risk registers throughout each phase. Managing the construction process, supervising on-site activity, responding to delays Ordering equipment and materials, managing their use and managing the personnel involved. Hiring and instructing labourers and sub-contractors

What We're Looking For:

Experience as a Project Manager within highways and/or water industries roles.

Relevant Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering or similar preferred. Good knowledge of NEC3/ NEC4 contracts. Commercial awareness. Strong communication, planning, and coordination skills SMSTS and TWC/TWS preferred
