We are seeking a Project Manager to oversee and manage our ongoing construction projects from inception to completion in Bath City. Ideally, the candidate will be located in or near Bath.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
We are heavily involved in commercial to residential conversions and renovations of listed buildings and have a solid pipeline of projects across the city.
The project manager will be responsible for coordinating with our onsite build teams, subcontractors, professional parties to ensure all projects are delivered smoothly from start to finish.
The Job will be a mix of in-office and on-visiting sites throughout the week, with a bi-weekly visit to our main office in the New Forest.
Responsibilities
Oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, objectives, resources, and schedules.
Write Tender packages and manage the tendering process.
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
Facilitate communication among all project stakeholders to keep everyone informed of progress and changes.
Prepare and present reports on project status to senior management and clients.
Oversee contractor procurement processes for materials and equipment required for construction activities.
Experience
Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry.
A strong understanding of HMOs is very advantageous.
Experience with Commercial to Residential Conversions is very advantageous.
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse teams and clients.
A solid understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations is essential.
Relevant qualifications in construction management would be advantageous.
