Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent time management skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. The company is moving forward towards an in-house management and design software package to manage our day to day operations so we have a real time snapshot of how the company is running, for example HOUZZ pro, training will be provided directly from the software developer, confidence on excel is a must. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are carefully maintained from a commercial perspective along with the day to day running of projects, ordering materials and ensuring the site teams are working correctly, a good understanding of computers generally would be an advantage. The role will be working on site some days, some days with the Managing Director or in our retail outlet. Mia James understands that family responsibility's can get in the way of work so we are open to discussions on how best this role can be delivered if the normal working hours present a problem.

Responsibilities



Lead and manage multiple small construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets using tools such as Primavera P6 or similar. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met. Monitor project progress and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary to address any issues that arise. Conduct regular site visits to assess work quality and compliance with safety regulations. Facilitate communication among all stakeholders, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns promptly. Prepare reports and documentation related to project progress, changes, and financials. Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained prior to commencing work.

Qualifications



Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in project management software. Strong time management skills with the ability to priorities tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with our small team. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field is preferred but not mandatory based on experience. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations is essential. Pay: 32,092.86-60,755.26 per year
