Following on from the success of Hinkley Point C, the Sizewell C Project is a nuclear new build project in Suffolk, which has obtained planning approval and Government financing support. The project has started construction and is now seeking private investment. When completed, it will provide dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, which along with renewables, will support Britain to achieve Net Zero by 2050.
We are seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to lead the successful delivery of the
Gamma, Neutron, and Standard Doors
scopes of work. This role is responsible for managing the full Engineering, Procurement, and Commissioning (EPC) lifecycle for these critical transverse systems, ensuring technical compliance, on-time delivery, and alignment with project goals.
The Role
Lead and coordinate the end-to-end delivery of the Gamma, Neutron, and Standard Doors scopes, including design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
Act as the main point of contact between the supply chain, engineering teams, and project stakeholders.
Oversee schedule, cost, quality, and risk management for the scope of work.
Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards, regulatory requirements, and design specifications.
Collaborate with transverse teams (e.g., safety case, civil, mechanical, and commissioning) to manage interfaces and integration.
Support supplier oversight, including performance monitoring and issue resolution.
Lead regular progress reviews and provide timely reporting to senior leadership.
Skills
Proven experience in
EPC project delivery
, ideally within a highly regulated or nuclear environment.
Strong project management background, including cost control, scheduling, and contract management.
Excellent stakeholder and interface management skills.
Technical understanding of engineered doors or mechanical systems is an advantage.
Familiarity with
nuclear safety regulations
, QA/QC processes, and commissioning standards.
Relevant degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Project Management qualifications (e.g., APM, PMP) desirable.
