Role Overview


As Project Manager (Electric), you'll lead the delivery of electrical engineering projects from pre-construction through to handover. You'll manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships, ensuring that all works meet Designer Group's standards for safety, quality, and performance.


Key Responsibilities


Oversee the full lifecycle of electrical projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery Lead project planning, procurement, and resource allocation Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring compliance with H&S and QA standards Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships Monitor project progress, produce reports, and resolve issues proactively Ensure all electrical installations meet regulatory and contractual requirements Drive continuous improvement and innovation across project delivery
Qualifications & Experience


Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline Proven experience managing electrical projects in construction or building services Strong knowledge of electrical systems, regulations, and installation practices Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, BIM, AutoCAD) Valid site safety certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS)
Desirable Attributes


Chartered Engineer status or working towards it Experience with sustainable technologies and energy-efficient systems Ability to mentor junior engineers and foster team development
