To take end-to-end ownership of projects from award through to close-out, ensuring contractual deliverables are achieved, programmes are credible, costs are controlled, and work is delivered in accordance with industry standards, specifications, and client requirements.
In addition, you will actively support the pricing and commercial evaluation of new works, variations, RFQs, and ITTs, converting delivery knowledge into profitable future work.
This is a delivery-backed commercial PM role, operating close to sites, clients, and commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Delivery Control
Develop and maintain detailed project execution plans aligned to contract scope, specifications, and client requirements
Produce and manage realistic programmes, including labour loading, sequencing, and key interfaces
Ensure all contractual deliverables (technical, commercial, and schedule-based) are clearly understood, tracked, and achieved
Monitor progress against programme and intervene early where slippage or risk emerges
Coordinate closely with delivery management to ensure planning intent is reflected in execution
Commercial & Cost Control
Establish and maintain robust project cost control, including budgets, forecasts, and cost-to-complete
Control labour productivity, subcontractor performance, and project expenditure
Proactively manage variations, change control, and scope growth in line with contract terms
Identify, quantify, and communicate commercial risk early
Protect and improve project margin through disciplined planning and cost management
Pricing, Variations & Work Winning Support
Price variations and additional works arising during project execution
Support the preparation of pricing for new works, extensions, and repeat scopes
Contribute to RFQs and ITTs, including scope clarification, labour build-ups, methodology input, and pricing review
Ensure pricing is aligned with delivery reality, resource availability, and margin expectations
Support handover from tender to delivery to ensure assumptions are understood and executed
Contractual & Standards Compliance
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, industry standards, and client specifications
Maintain working knowledge of relevant industry standards and quality expectations applicable to energy and industrial projects
Ensure compliance with agreed quality, HSEQ, and client governance processes
Support audits, inspections, and client reviews where required
Client Interface & Market Development
Act as primary client contact during project execution
Build confidence through structured planning, transparent reporting, and consistent delivery
Identify follow-on scopes, extensions, and cross-sector opportunities
Support long-term client relationships across multiple energy and industrial markets
Site & Offshore Presence
Regular travel to fabrication yards, operational sites, and client locations is required
Offshore visits will be expected where project scope and safety requirements dictate
Flexibility to travel in line with project and client needs is essential
Skills & Experience
Essential
Proven experience in a Project Management role within energy, industrial, or infrastructure-led environments
Strong capability in project planning, cost control, and programme management across live projects
Demonstrated experience delivering projects to contractual scope, schedule, and budget
Commercially astute, with experience managing variations, change control, and margin performance
Experience supporting or leading the pricing of new works, variations, RFQs, and ITTs
Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with clients, site teams, suppliers, and senior stakeholders
Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for cost control, forecasting, and reporting
Professional, accountable, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy
Desirable
Engineering qualification
(degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent technical discipline)
Project Management experience within
offshore wind, oil & gas, or heavy industrial services
Working knowledge of relevant
industry standards, client specifications, and governance requirements
Experience managing or coordinating
multi-discipline scopes
(e.g. coatings, rope access, scaffolding, industrial services)
Formal Project Management qualification or equivalent industry experience
