The Role
This position blends
estimating
and
project coordination/management
, supporting the full lifecycle of bespoke joinery projects--from initial enquiry and quotation to installation and completion. You will work closely with our General Manager, clients, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure projects run smoothly and profitably.
The role is ideal for someone with experience in joinery or construction who wants to grow into a project management or estimating role. Full training will be given on our systems, software, and processes.
This position can be offered at trainee level for the right person. We are happy to provide full training in estimating software, project coordination, and joinery processes.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare accurate quotes and estimates using our software (training provided)
Interpret drawings, specifications, and client requirements
Coordinate and support onsite fitters and subcontractors
Conduct site visits using the company van
Assist with project planning, scheduling, materials ordering, and communication
Build and maintain strong client relationships
Liaise with suppliers for pricing, materials, and timelines
Monitor project progress and help resolve issues
Carry out general administrative and computer-based tasks
Work closely with the GM to ensure smooth project delivery
Skills & Experience
Essential:
Knowledge of bespoke joinery OR relevant construction background
Strong people and communication skills
Ability to work closely with fitters and contractors
Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, quoting software)
Organised, reliable, and detail-focused
Valid UK driving licence
Desirable:
Experience in estimating, project coordination, or project management
Ability to read technical drawings
Understanding of joinery processes and materials
