Company Overview
We are a leading manufacturer & distributor of technical textiles and specialist garments, supplying high-performance flame-retardant, waterproof, and protective clothing solutions to the firefighting, defence, and industrial safety sectors. Our work supports UK government contracts and international tenders, delivering mission-critical solutions to public sector and frontline services. With growing demand across key sectors, we are seeking a dedicated and skilled Project Manager to oversee our government-supported projects from award to completion.
Role Purpose
The Project Manager will manage the end-to-end delivery of technical textile and garment supply projects tied to government tenders. This includes full lifecycle responsibility--from bid support, planning, compliance, and manufacturing liaison, through to delivery, documentation, and post-project evaluation. The successful candidate will ensure technical integrity, on-time performance, and contractual compliance, particularly in high-specification firefighting, military, and safety garment projects.

- Manage risk assessments and project change controls.
Technical & Compliance Management
- Ensure garment performance meets UK/EU regulatory standards (e.g., EN469, ISO11612, ISO20471, MOD Defence Standards).
- Oversee lab testing, certification, and quality assurance processes for all supplied garments.
- Maintain accurate and complete records for compliance audits and stakeholder reporting.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
- Serve as primary point of contact for public sector clients, including MOD, Fire Services, and procurement authorities.
- Chair regular project update meetings, issue status reports, and maintain open channels of communication.
- Work closely with internal R&D and technical teams to resolve specification queries or material substitutions.
Financial & Performance Reporting
- Monitor budgets, supplier costs, and tender margin performance.
- Track progress against KPIs and prepare summary reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support tender renewals and framework reapplications with performance data and delivery insights.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in managing government tender projects within technical textiles, PPE, or garment manufacturing.
- Knowledge of UK procurement regulations and public sector contract frameworks.
- Experience in supply chain or production coordination for firefighting, military, or safety garments.
