We have an opportunity for a Project Manager to join their team of staff in the Estates Operations department.
This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week.
The successful candidate must be willing and able to travel across several hospital locations to support the delivery of an infrastructure capital programme.
Duties of this role include:
To manage and report on project budget, risk, issues, and opportunities
To integrate with the hospitals teams to optimise development of project solutions
To ensure that efficient construction is balanced with operational needs
To lead stakeholder engagement, ensuring accurate capture of brief, and to maintain clear lines of communication throughout the project lifecycle
To oversee the tender process for projects, including tender specification, tender evaluation, and final recommendation
To coordinate external consultants as required
To support the contract administration process
To support the development of project management skills within the team and the wider business
To provide subject matter expertise to the business
Applicants should meet the following criteria: (What do you have?)
Qualified in PRINCE2 or similar, with a successful track record of methodology use and implementation
Track record in delivering construction and healthcare projects
A solid grasp of the construction process, from briefing through to post-completion
Track record of contract negotiation with building and equipment contractors
Practical working knowledge of construction contracts
Knowledge of HTM and HBN standards desirable
A value for money thinker, who can drive out cost and waste
Proven track record in delivering infrastructure and asset projects in complex, preferably healthcare, environment
Exceptional attention to detail
Demands high standards of themselves and others and is able to translate this into high quality, high pace output
Knowledge of current building standards and working in live hospital environments essential.
