Job Summary

: Delivery of best in class landscaping contracts.

Experience:

Proven track record of project management/ delivery of construction or physical projects, with understanding of commercial aspects. Landscaping experience not necessary, this can be taught.

Roles and Responsibilities:



1. Project Management:



Provide and be responsible for end-to-end oversight of large-scale commercial contracts (including all disciplines), from initial planning to completion, ensuring high-quality project delivery.

Establish project timelines, resource allocations, and milestones while ensuring compliance with the agreed-upon contractual obligations.

Manage diary to conduct regular site reviews and audits to monitor the quality and progress, taking prompt corrective actions to address delays or emerging issues (the bulk of your time should be on this). Fill out reports for each visit emphasising 3-day checks before tasks start & checking completed works for quality.

2. Budget and Financial Management:



Take responsibility for the revenue tracker, working with Project Manager Assistants inputting regional revenues and cost information.

Identify and mitigate potential financial risks, including scope issues and Liquidated Damages. Make sure changes to drawings, scope and tasks are recorded & communicated for long term records.

Look for opportunities to maximise margin, improving labour productivity and reducing materials costs. Work with project teams to reuse materials where possible & reduce cost per call-off.

3. Client & Stakeholder Relationships:



Serve as the first point of contact for clients during project delivery, ensuring effective communication and addressing client concerns or requirements promptly. Utilise issue/ to-do lists with clear set actions to present ourselves better than industry standards.

Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring that deliverables are clearly defined and that the company's reputation for excellence is upheld. Respond to NPS scores and SMT audit feedback appropriately.

Develop strong, long-term relationships with key clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and partners to foster trust and collaboration.

4. Team Development and Health, Safety, and Compliance:



Identify recruitment requirements to bolster team members as needed. Work with Head Office HR team and Senior Project Manager to ensure compliant onboarding and ongoing personnel management within budgets/ approvals

Work with Health and Safety Personnel to maintain the highest standards of health, safety, and environmental management across all operational activities.

5. Reporting & Communication:



Provide regular reports to the Operations Director and the board, covering operational performance, project status, financial metrics, and any areas of concern.

Key Performance Indicators:



Financial Performance (Revenue of works complete)

Schedule Management (Utilisation of resources)

Project Management (Client satisfaction and material wastage)

Career Development

:

Progression to Regional Operations Manager or Regional Operations Director Addition of QC's and additional Project Managers depending on project numbers.

Work Environment and Schedule

:

Predominately based out of Chichester and South West. several days out visiting clients. Working hours, 7.00am until 4.30pm.

Performance Evaluation Process

:

Regular 1-2-1s with Operations Director/ Contracts manager Weekly Schedule review of slots, changes and project issues. Performance against Budget (issued monthly).

Salary

- 45,000 - 55,000 D.O.E
