As part of our Managed Applications Services, we provide day-to-day support for applications running in a mission-critical environment on a 24x7 basis. We are looking for an individual to join our team that provides support and development to our Command and Control services. In particular, this would focus on the project management and aspects of service management. The role would include providing day-to-day project management and support of the teams providing the existing services and software enhancements as defined by our client. You will see yourself:


Inspiring, guiding and coordinating a cross functional team to achieve project goals Working closely with the client and team to understand business requirements to convert these in to projects or service management activities, delivered to time and budget with the appropriate resources Planning and delivering projects on time, within scope and on budget using a Project Manager's toolbox to achieve this. Working with the lead project manager to align deliverables across the managed service, including stakeholder management Supporting the team so that they can overcome 'blockers' quickly and efficiently, including escalations as appropriate Collating information for financial reporting Working within a close-knit team to maintain high standards of delivery and continue to improve outcomes

You will be successful in this role if you have:

Solid experience of

project management

within an

Application Support

environment, ideally with experience of the

full software development lifecycle

and how this applies to the delivery of projects and changes to the solution. In addition, you may have experience of

Agile

methodologies and how these apply in this type of environment. You will likely hold certifications such as

PRINCE2

and/or

AgilePM.

Over and above the requirements for this role, we would expect the individual to be able to work with a

technical team

and be able to grasp the key concepts needed to deliver within a service delivery environment, without adversely impacting the operational effectiveness of the supported systems. You may have a

good understanding of ITIL

which provides you with the framework to achieving this.

Strong interpersonal skills

are expected as you will be communicating regularly with our client. Any previous experience within

Public Sector

organisations would be welcomed.


Candidates must be eligible for, and will be required to obtain and retain,

CTC clearance

for this post

Additional Information

To obtain CTC clearance, you have

residence in the UK

for the last

three years. This requirement is non-negotiable.
