Job Overview



We are seeking an experienced and motivated

Project Manager

to lead and deliver complex marine geophysical and/or geotechnical survey projects. In this hybrid role, you will manage multiple projects simultaneously, working closely with both onshore and offshore teams to ensure successful execution. Flexibility is required for travel to Belgium when project demands necessitate onsite coordination or meetings.

Key Responsibilities



Manage one or more marine geophysical and/or geotechnical projects concurrently, depending on size and complexity. Plan, organize, coordinate, lead, and motivate teams to achieve an optimal balance between cost, time, benefits, and risk. Assemble and manage the onshore project team, including a data coordinator, project surveyor, mobilisation engineer, and QHSE engineer. Lead communication with the offshore team via the Party Chief. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal project teams. Investigate and propose improved or alternative working methods to enhance efficiency. Develop project budgets in coordination with the commercial team. Monitor project financials on a weekly basis and report to the accounting department and PMO Manager. Provide regular project updates and progress reports to the PMO Manager. Approve subcontractors and suppliers. Identify, negotiate, and manage variations and additional work under the existing contract. Oversee invoicing, debtor control, and follow up in collaboration with the Project Controller. Take a leadership role in ensuring all project activities comply with QHSE standards. Work closely with the QHSE department to enforce safety and environmental guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills



Preferably hold a Master's degree in Civil or Industrial Engineering, or a degree in a survey-related discipline. Proven experience in project and team management. Strong technical knowledge of hydrographical, geophysical, and geotechnical survey equipment. Background in survey project management and/or experience in the marine environment is a strong advantage. Familiarity with QHSE practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills in English (working language); proficiency in Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage. Willingness and flexibility to travel to Belgium as needed.
