We're looking for a dynamic Project Manager to join us in Coventry or Liverpool.



We have a new opportunity to join our Power & Energy team and be part MTC's mission to provide our clients with innovative manufacturing systems solutions that transform the capabilities of industrial, government and regional clients and collectively deliver MTC's purpose of having a positive impact on society.



As project Manager you'll lead and manage successful delivery of a number of projects, working across various MTC Technology Themes and industry sectors.



Putting customers at the heart of everything we do, you'll ensure customer needs are clearly captured, understood, and effectively built into project proposals. You'll liaise with resource owners / team leaders to ensure effective use of resources in delivering project quality, cost & delivery within project scope.



This role will suit a highly organised, strong communicator who thrives on quality of delivery, innovation and continuous improvement.



You'll need to be security cleared or be willing to attain this.

You'll also be responsible for







Managing any changes to project scope via the recognised "Change Request" process Acting as champion for BMS project management processes, tools & techniques Contribute to continuous improvement activities relates to PM tools and processes

Who are we looking for





We're looking for an results driven Project Manager, with proven experience of delivering multiple projects concurrently. You'll be able to demonstrate strong leadership with significant experience in a busy project based engineering or professional services environment.



You'll be a strong communicator who can articulate clearly and effectively at all levels of the business.



We're looking for an innovative individual who proactively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement related to PM tools and processes and identifies opportunities for maintaining and updating performance standards

We're also looking for





Experience of Microsoft project management tools including MS Project and Excel Some knowledge of working on partially State funded projects would be beneficial Numerate with a strong focus on financial management An organised yet flexible approach with the ability to influence/deliver through others Demonstrable knowledge of PMP and PMO Results driven self-starter with a positive CAN-DO approach focusing on solutions rather than problems

the interview process will be two stages.



The Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC) was established in 2010 as an independent Research & Technology Organisation (RTO) with the objective of bridging the gap between academia and industry - often referred to as 'the valley of death'.


It represents one of the largest public sector investments in UK manufacturing and, after four years of planning and a 16 month build, the facility opened at Ansty Park in Coventry at the end of 2011.


In December 2011, there were 16 industrial members, 44 staff and just a few key pieces of equipment in the 'workshop'.


Over the following seven years the MTC's rapid growth has seen the expansion of our campus with the construction of three more facilities, including the opening of the Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre and the National Centre for Additive Manufacturing.


Our role has also increased to cover not only R&D but also Training, Advanced Manufacturing Management and Factory Design.


We now have over 700 talented employees working with us.


During this time we have helped hundreds of companies across a range of industries and over 100 of them have become members of the MTC.
